At Valkeisen Loma’s Reindeer Park, you feel like you have been transported to Lapland!
Valkeisen Loma’s Reindeer Park is home to nine reindeer. All our reindeer are tame and love lichen, which you can give them during your visit. You can make friends with them in the enclosure or buy a bag of lichen from reception and feed them over the fence.
Our reindeer activities include a traditional visit to the reindeer enclosure. During the visit, you can feed and stroke our reindeer and take pictures. You also have the opportunity to learn more about the park’s reindeer and hear stories about reindeer husbandry.
If you want to spend more time with the reindeer, you can take part in the Walk with the Reindeer programme. During the visit, we will walk through the forest where you can feed and stroke the reindeer and take pictures amid beautiful forest scenery. The reindeer will accompany us throughout the walk, finally leading the way to a lean-to in the enclosure where you can sit by a fire and enjoy coffee brewed on an open fire, juice and seasonal pastries. To complete the experience, you can try your hand at lasso throwing, the method used to catch reindeer in Lapland.
You can also hire a reindeer from us for your Christmas celebration or other winter event. For an additional charge, the reindeer can be accompanied by a Christmas elf or Father Christmas himself.
