Rotary Park is a rhododendron park located in the vicinity of Kurikka’s centre. Since the area was tidied up and rhododendrons were planted, the park has been maintained by Kurikka’s Rotary Club.
The park’s history goes back to 1974 when a city planner proposed that pines be planted on the fields at the crossroads of Reinikantie and Kurikantie to protect the residential area from wind. Members of the Rotary Club participated in the planting work. In 2004–2005, Kurikka’s Rotary Club submitted a proposal for the development of the pine forest, under which the area would be tidied up and rhododendrons would be planted amid the trees.
