Sepänniemi Holiday Village is located in Töysä, on the shores of Ponnenjärvi, 9 km from Tuuri and 20 km from Ähtäri. The holiday centre has 12 cottages, pitches for tents and places with electric points for mobile homes. We also boast a lovely, child-friendly sandy beach. Our guests have access to a rowing boat, SUP board, kayak and fishing equipment. At Sepänniemi, you can sit on the porch outside your cottage, or the centre’s café or sauna, and admire the spectacular sunsets. We also have a wood-burning lakeshore sauna, electric sauna, traditional smoke sauna and a hot tub, which are available or hire. For children, we have a playground, and our guests also have access to outdoor games, such as the Mölkky skittle throwing game, pétanque and croquet. Children particularly enjoy looking for trolls hiding in the area. The beach has a lean-to and a barbecue shelter, which are free to use.
Our café’s opening hours are 8 am to 10 pm every day in June–August. At other times, the café is open by special arrangement. We also host meetings, celebrations and other events. The best-known events include the Ponnenjärvi Nonstop running event, which is held every May, and the festivities arranged at the end of August to mark the end of the summer cottage season.
Our café is licensed to serve alcohol. Breakfast is available on request, and you can also order coffee, refreshments and meals from us for your event. Our tasty pizzas always prove popular. We can also serve savoury snacks and salads. From our café, you can buy coffee, ice cream and other refreshments, sweets and snacks.
On request, we can arrange karaoke events and activities for meetings and parties. We organise tailored activities for groups.
Other things to see and do: Located next to the holiday village, Töysä’s local history museum, with its cobbler’s and blacksmith’s workshops, shop museum and pharmacy museum, is worth a visit.
