The first Säästöpankki bank ever to open in Finnish-speaking South Ostrobothnia was established in Alavus in 1866. The oldest objects showcased at Bank Museum date from the first decade of the bank’s operations.
The museum is located alongside Alavus bus station, next to the town hall.
