The accessible Kanavapuisto nature trail in Lappajärvi offers an introduction to Finnish trees and stones in a natural setting. The 1.2 km route has wooden planks to walk on, and it is almost two metres wide, making it easy to navigate with pushchairs and wheelchairs.
The route is equipped with 14 information boards on trees and eight on stones.
The Kanavapuisto nature trail is used by local pre-schools, schools and Lappajärvi Geolukio upper secondary school for learning purposes.
Visitors can enjoy snacks in an accessible, family-friendly Lapland-style hut with cooking facilities located at the end of trail.
