Known locally as the South Ostrobothnian Riviera, Kirkkoranta, which is located on the shore of Lake Kuortane, is one of the most popular beaches in the region. This long, beautiful sandy beach offers plenty of space for sunbathers and swimmers. The shallow Lake Kuortane is one of the most child-friendly places to swim in South Ostrobothnia. The beach also has a beach volleyball court.
The Kesäpesä café, run by Kuortane’s 4H youth association, sells drinks, small savoury snacks and ice creams. It also offers a variety of games for rent. Don’t worry if you left your bucket and spade at home; the café also has those.
