Like so many great Finnish innovations before it, Kyrö Distillery grew from an idea developed in a sauna: why not make whisky from Finnish rye? The distillery found a home on the former premises of Isokyrö’s dairy, in the building where the popular Finnish Oltermanni cheese was made. The operations got off to a good start in 2014, and the distillery has been awarded several international recognitions since then, and it now sells its products in dozens of countries.
In the Kyrö Visitor Center, visitors have the opportunity to take part in a distillery tour accompanied by stories, indulge in a rye product tasting, and enjoy unique cocktails made from local ingredients in a cozy distillery restaurant. Kyrö Visitor Center welcomes groups from Tuesday to Saturday throughout the year, so memorable meetings, parties, team-building days, and dinners should be booked through the Visitor Center. The distillery restaurant also actively organizes various events throughout the year.
