Memorial locomotive Risto

Kurikka railway station houses a renovated goods train locomotive, the VR Tr1 ‘Risto’ no. 1037 steam engine from 1942.

In Finland, more than 30 old locomotives have been preserved as memorials. They are renovated and placed permanently in a public location.
