Located in the Kyrkösjärvi recreational area, the Oravapolku trail is designed for children of all ages. It runs in the vicinity of Kyrkösjärvi beach and the parking area, opposite Käpälikkö Nature Centre. It is accessible and can be easily navigated with a pushchair. The trail takes you on a pleasant circular route through a forest, where you can explore a fairy tale house, lean-to, handicraft house and a squirrel’s lean-to. Next to the trail, you will find a barefoot path and a bird forest. A birdhouse park is located next to the lean-to, which also has a place for an open fire and firewood. The trail contains some duckboards. Along the route, you can follow the adventures of Nyyrikki Squirrel with the signposts fixed to trees.
