Valkealampi is a beautiful natural destination in Lehtimäki, Alajärvi. The lapland like nature of Valkealampi, with its heathland terrain, provides excellent opportunities to enjoy nature and outdoor activities. The area offers kilometers of hiking and skiing trails, enjoyable mountain biking routes, and a fine sandy beach.
During the summer, visitors to Valkealampi can hike, swim, mountain bike, and go on excursions. The trails are mostly unmarked. The area is also called Lapland of South Ostrobothnia because it usually receives the first snowfall in our area. Efforts are made to create the first snow ski track at Valkealampi as soon as possible by utilizing accumulated snow from the previous year and artificial snow produced by snow cannons. Driving directions: Valkealampi Tourist Center is located in Alajärvi, about 3 km from the main road number 697, between Kuortane and Lehtimäki. The turn-off to Valkealampi is approximately 15 km from the Mäyry intersection in Kuortane and about 2 km from the Lehtimäki town center intersection.
